Curriculum

1

Key Skills & Stakeholders

We will analyze the Product Owner's profile in light of Agile Product Management competencies. In this session, I will focus on the relationship with Stakeholders and the management of their interests. I will teach you techniques to facilitate meetings and help them negotiate opposing interests and make better decisions.

2

Interaction with Developers

We are going to see how to relate to developers. I will introduce you to the different technical practices you should know and how to manage a product at scale in which several teams work.

3

Customer Research

We agree that you cannot start designing a product or service without first understanding what your users want, right? So, we will delve into Customer Research practices so you can design a product your customers will love.

4

Product Discovery

Steve Jobs once said 'Some people say: Give the customers what they want. But that's not my approach. My job is to figure out what they will want before they know it... People don't know what they want until you show it to them.' I will introduce you to Product Discovery techniques that allow you to identify the right product to build.

5

Hypotheses and Validated Learning

You need to doubt your assumptions and see your proposals as hypotheses, especially in new product development. This discipline is riddled with cognitive biases, and if you're not aware of them, they can play a very bad trick on you. You're no longer doing projects, but experiments, and in this session, I'll teach you to make those validations.

6

Value and Outcome Definition

One of the biggest challenges when moving from Product Management to Agile Product Management is shifting the focus from feature delivery to value delivery. But what does value mean? How is it measured? Why is this change of focus so critical? We will cover all this during the course ;-)

7

Purpose and Strategy

Creating and evolving a product requires a huge effort from everyone involved. All that effort without a direction and motivation ends up stressing everyone out. Establishing a purpose (or vision) should be the starting point of any product initiative, but it is very often overlooked. In this session, I will teach you to establish a purpose and develop a strategic roadmap from there.

8

Advanced Product Backlog

To conclude the course, we will see different techniques for ordering and refining the Product Backlog. This will be the icing on the cake and your last step towards certification.

9

Artificial Intelligence (AI) ✨

Throughout the program, you will know and practice how AI can help you make more informed decisions and anticipate the needs of your users. You will learn to use AI tools to improve the quality of your Strategy, Experiemnts, Product Backlog, User Stories, and Communication with Stakeholders.
